Arenzville, IL – Burrus Seed proudly announces the addition of new Sales Agronomist, Jamie Long, to the Burrus team. Her position will include customer service for growers located in western Illinois and Missouri and agronomic training of the sales staff.
Jamie is a recent graduate of Purdue University with a Master of Science in Weed Science, following receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Plant and Soil Science from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale. Jamie has worked as a research assistant for both universities as well as working on her family’s farm. In addition, Jamie holds a Certified Crop Advisor certification with a Resistance Management Specialty and an Illinois Pesticide Applicator license.
Jamie was raised on a farm near the banks of the Mississippi river in Ellis Grove, Illinois. In her spare time, Jamie enjoys hunting and fishing. “I’m looking forward to starting work with Burrus!” said Long. Todd Burrus expressed, “We are happy to have someone of Jamie’s caliber joining the company, and we look forward to working with her.”
