• Right ROI — Return on investment is and will likely continue to be the key for grower success.  Our goal is a 3 to 1 return on investment in seed treatments.  With that focus, growers can invest in the best choice and set aside worries associated with “is a cheaper choice good enough?”

PowerShield for Corn

        PowerShield for corn includes four fungicides providing the needed seedline protection. This combination provides at least two effective modes of action giving protection for pythium, rhizoctonia and fusarium, the three leading seedling diseases. PowerShield for corn also includes a bio-nematicide designed to provide nematode protection from root damage. This protection can help boost yields in most soils.

        PowerShield for corn standardly uses two seed applied insecticides for a combined total “500 rate.” This provides protection from cutworm, wire worm, seed corn maggot, white grub, fall army worm, grape colaspis and flea beetle. Power Plus® brand Qrome® hybrids from Burrus are treated with an enhanced treatment of high rate Lumisure® insecticide to provide an additional mode of action for corn rootworm protection.

PowerShield for SOYBEANS

• PowerShield® —PowerShield for soybeans uses ingredients and efficacy of four fungicides and one insecticide.  The single most damaging soil pathogen for soybean seedlings is pythium. PowerShield treatment is best in class against pythium.  Multiple modes of action provide a “belt and  suspenders” approach to help you get a strong, healthy soybean crop.   
• PowerShield® SDS — PowerShield SDS (PS SDS) has added sudden death syndrome (SDS) protection. PS SDS is a great buy and a useful tool to protect your genetic investment. The active fungicide ingredient has no negative side effects or “halo effect.”  Use PS SDS on 100% of your soybean seed for a good assurance of every soybean acre.  Burrus testing verifies a return on investment even in fields with no visible SDS symptoms. Alternatively, use PS SDS with a targeted approach. Focusing on field history, early planting dates, or varieties with lower SDS scores can help manage acres with the greatest risk of SDS.
